Summer Holiday for our Website

Our parish website will now be on pause until the end of August but you'll be able to check out all the times and dates of all our liturgies via the Parish Newsletter at Mass and also the Noticeboard on the front of the church. Have a restful summer and if you're going away have a fabulous holiday and come back to us safely. (Fr David)

Assisted Dying Bill - Your Help is Needed

Please write to a member of the House of Lords: The Bill to legalise ‘assisted dying’, meaning assisted suicide, will be debated by the House of Lords on Friday 18th July 2014. There will be a free vote, because it is not Government legislation. If passed, this Bill would place vulnerable people at serious risk. Especially if you have direct experience of caring for a dying person, either as a family member or as a health or social care professional, please write before 18th July to a Peer, to tell them your views. For more information, including details of how to write to a Peer, please click here; IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO WRITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND CERTAINLY BEFORE the 18TH JULY.

A Fantastic Performance

Prayer Tree

Prayers are offered this Sunday for all those who wrote prayers for those who have died, on our Churches Together Prayer Tree last weekend at the Coalville Picnic in the Park event. It was great to see so many of you at this event despite the rain. In the pictures below you can see the Prayer Tree with all the different communities prayers to be offered this weekend (see the table below) and the tree now placed in St Wilfrid's with our particular intentions. You still have time to write your own prayers this weekend on the table by St Joseph's statue.
