Welcome to Sisters Mary & Kate

Srs Mary & Kate were treading the boards at Kilworth House in Sister Act this week… congratulations on a great performance! I'm not sure whether Jim & Francis would be too chuffed if they were to take up the marvellous opportunity of a full time position in our parish but you never know?

Outing to Harvington Hall

Outing to Harvington Hall, Kidderminster.  Melton Mowbray parish recently hosted a talk on priests’ holes by Michael Hodgetts, who is the leading expert on this subject.  At the talk, there was interest in an outing to this fascinating Elizabethan house, which is full of ingenious secret hiding places.   As Historical Director, Michael Hodgetts has offered to show us round, and we are planning to run a coach, from Melton picking up in Leicester, provisionally on Thursday 23 October.  The fare will depend on numbers, but may be about £12-£13, and if enough people book we could let children travel free.  If you might be interested, without obligation at present, please phone Frances on 07790 631635, or email joycejenkins29@gmail.com.

UPDATED INFORMATION

I am pleased to say there has been considerable interest in this trip after the initial announcement, and we have booked a 49 seater  coach which will pick up in Melton, Queniborough and Our Lady’s church, Leicester.
